Welwyn & Hatfield LD Day Service

52cm x 103cm window inspired by service users' designs, 2012

The finished window at Woodcot Lane, Welwyn Garden CityThis fused glass window was commissioned from a design produced in 2011 by the last group of service users to occupy the Hornbeams Adult Care Centre building before it changed its name to the Welwyn & Hatfield LD Day Service. The artists worked using coloured tissue paper, applying layers with glue until the pattern below emerged. Tessa then used parts of the paper design as inspiration to craft the 52cm x 103cm window which is now installed at Woodcot Lane in WGC, Herts.
