This panel depicts Dr. Marsden finding a dying woman in the street. At this time poor people couldn't afford hospitals, and many died of treatable illnesses. He started the Free Hospital with help from friends. When Queen Victoria came on the throne, he asked if he could call it The Royal Free, and she agreed.
